Ibrahima Camara introduces himself. He deplores the fact that young people are currently more interested in mining than farming: he has a labour problem recruiting workers, since everyone is currently working in the mines. The second problem is climate change, which is disrupting his agricultural calendar, since the dry season is now longer than the rainy season, which was not the case before. He presents a solution that he studied in China, he studied agronomy: he gives value to the crop, he installed an irrigation system. He tells us about his difficulties and the challenges he faces: because of the scarcity of rain, he has installed a borehole on a hill close to his home, and he has installed taps in his field with a solar pump.
He doesn’t have all the equipment yet, but he already has taps all over his field, and with watering cans he can make the field fertile.
